The police urge citizens to be cautious of requests from "security officials" regarding money transfers
In Bishkek, suspects involved in fraud amounting to over 22 million soms have been detained, according to information from the press service of the Main Internal Affairs Directorate.
On December 23, 2025, a woman named Ch. G. filed an official complaint with the Sverdlovsk District Internal Affairs Department. She reported that a group of unknown individuals, presenting themselves as employees of the GKNB, Ministry of Internal Affairs, and National Bank, deceived her and took her money.
The fraudsters managed to convince the victim to transfer 22 million 130 thousand soms via an ATM to their bank card.
In connection with this incident, a criminal case has been initiated under Article 209 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
Employees of the Criminal Investigation Department of the Main Internal Affairs Directorate conducted operational search activities and identified the suspects: T. Zh., born in 2002, and K. E., born in 2006. They were taken to the Investigative Service and placed in a temporary detention facility.
Currently, additional measures are ongoing to search for other individuals involved in the crime, as well as to gather evidence and clarify all circumstances of the case.
The Main Internal Affairs Directorate reminds citizens of the importance of vigilance. Employees of government structures never require money transfers to bank cards and do not request personal information over the phone.
