Nursultan Keneshbekov Sets a Record for Kyrgyzstan at the Asian Championship in China

Athlete from Kyrgyzstan Nursultan Keneshbekov has once again amazed everyone by setting a new national record in athletics.

The competition took place indoors in China from February 6 to 8. On the first day, February 6, preliminary heats were held for the 1500 meters, in which Nursultan participated in the first heat, winning with an impressive time of 3 minutes and 50 seconds, securing his place in the final.

The final race took place on February 8, and Keneshbekov once again showcased his outstanding abilities, finishing second and winning a silver medal. His time of 3 minutes and 44.75 seconds became a new record for Kyrgyzstan in indoor competitions for this distance.

The previous record (3 minutes and 45.85 seconds) also belonged to Nursultan and was set at a tournament in Ust-Kamenogorsk (Kazakhstan) in 2024.
