Concerns of the Swedes and Success of the Norwegians
The women's ski relay on the course in Val di Fiemme became one of the most intense races of the day.A key moment occurred on the second leg when Swedish skier Ebba Andersson lost her balance on a steep slope and fell after doing a somersault. Fortunately, she did not suffer serious injuries but broke a ski.
Andersson was forced to make her way to the coaches for several dozen meters, pushing off with one leg, before she managed to get a new ski. It was at this moment that her competitors significantly increased their lead.
As a result, she finished the leg in eighth place, trailing the leading group by 78 seconds. Nevertheless, the Swedish team managed to return to the competition and secure a podium finish. The Norwegians took first place, while the Finnish team won silver.
