At a recent wrestling tournament in Albania, Meerim Jumaanazarova won a silver medal, reports UWW.

The final match, which took place on February 27, saw the Kyrgyzstani athlete face off against Yuliana Yaneva from Bulgaria, who is a bronze medalist at the World Championship. The outcome of the bout was 2:0 in favor of Yaneva.

Jumaanazarova competed in the 68 kg weight category, starting her journey from the 1/8 finals.

In this round, the Kyrgyzstani wrestler achieved victory over an athlete from the USA, which allowed her to advance to the quarterfinals.

In the semifinal stage, Meerim successfully battled against Turkish wrestler Nersin Bash and secured a win.
