Meerim Jumanaazarova won silver at the MUHAMET MALO–2026 ranking tournament

On February 27, the international ranking tournament in sports wrestling MUHAMET MALO–2026 took place in Tirana, Albania, where Kyrgyz wrestler Meerim Jumanaazarova won a silver medal. This information was announced by representatives of the State Agency for Physical Culture and Sports of Kyrgyzstan.

The athlete competed in the category up to 68 kg and began her performance from the quarter-finals.

In the first matches, Jumanaazarova confidently defeated two American athletes: Destin Rene (11:0) and Solin Nicole Pearcy (10:0), which secured her a place in the semi-finals.

In the semi-finals, the Kyrgyz athlete faced Nersin Bas from Turkey and won with a score of 8:4, allowing her to advance to the finals.

However, in the decisive match, Jumanaazarova met Bulgarian athlete Yuliana Yaneva and, unfortunately, suffered a defeat with a score of 0:2, resulting in her taking the second place on the podium.
