On February 27, at the international wrestling tournament MUHAMET MALO–2026 held in Albania, Kyrgyz athlete Gulnura Tashtanbekova won a bronze medal. This information was published by the State Agency for Physical Culture and Sports of Kyrgyzstan.
Competing in the weight category up to 65 kg, Tashtanbekova began the competition with a match against Russian athlete Alina Kasabieva, in which she suffered a defeat. However, she managed to continue fighting for medals thanks to the consolation matches.
In the decisive match for third place, the Kyrgyz athlete faced Indian athlete Apeksha Patil. In a tense bout that ended with a score of 3:3, the victory was awarded to Gulnura Tashtanbekova for her last scoring action.
