Ernazar Akmataliev won gold at the MUHAMET MALO-2026 ranking tournament in Tirana




At the international ranking tournament MUHAMET MALO-2026 held in Tirana, Ernazar Akmataliev became the gold medalist in the weight category up to 70 kg.

According to information provided by the State Agency for Physical Culture and Sports, Akmataliev began his path to victory from the 1/8 finals, where he achieved a tough victory over the Russian Ibrahim Ibrahimov, the reigning European champion, with a score of 4:3.

In the quarterfinals, the Kyrgyz wrestler confidently defeated the Moldovan athlete Vasiliy Diakon, finishing the match with a score of 6:1. In the semifinals, he showcased his skills by defeating the Kazakhstani Maiis Aliyev with a result of 12:9.

The final match was against the American wrestler Alec William Pantaleo, where Akmataliev managed to win with a score of 3:2, thus securing the gold medal of the tournament.

This victory marked the first gold medal for the Kyrgyzstan national team at an international tournament.

It is worth noting that the second ranking tournament in wrestling MUHAMET MALO-2026 was opened in Tirana, Albania, the day before.
