Zalkarbek Tabaldiev won bronze at the MUHAMET MALO-2026 tournament in Tirana

In the capital of Albania, Tirana, the international ranking tournament MUHAMET MALO-2026 took place, where Kyrgyz freestyle wrestler Zalkarbek Tabaldiev took third place in the weight category up to 70 kg.

According to information provided by the State Agency for Physical Culture and Sports, Tabaldiev began his performance in the 1/8 finals, where he achieved a confident victory over his compatriot Rustam Kakharo with a score of 12:1.

In the quarterfinals, the Kyrgyz wrestler managed to defeat Bulgarian athlete Kaloyan Atanasov, finishing the match with a score of 14:3, which allowed him to advance to the semifinals.

However, in the semifinal match, Tabaldiev suffered a defeat against American Alec William Pantaleo, losing with a score of 0:10.

In the bronze medal match, Mexican Austin Kli Gomez was unable to take to the mat due to injury, resulting in the bronze medal being awarded to Zalkarbek Tabaldiev.

Thus, Tabaldiev became the holder of the third medal for the Kyrgyzstan team at this significant international tournament.
