At the international wrestling tournament MUHAMET MALO–2026, held on February 27 in the Albanian capital Tirana, Kyrgyz athlete Meerim Zhumanazarova won a silver medal.
Zhumanazarova competed in the 68 kg category, starting her participation in the competition from the 1/8 finals.
On her way to the semifinals, she achieved two impressive victories, first defeating Destin Rene from the USA with a score of 11:0, and then leaving no chances for Solin Nicole Pirsi, winning 10:0.
In the semifinal match, the Kyrgyz athlete faced Nersin Bas from Turkey and confidently advanced to the final with a score of 8:4.
However, the final match against Bulgarian athlete Yuliana Yaneva did not bring success — Zhumanazarova lost with a score of 0:2, finishing in second place at the tournament.
