The State Committee for National Security of the Kyrgyz Republic confirmed the detention of two high-ranking employees of the First May District Department of Internal Affairs — the deputy chief and the head of the Criminal Investigation Department, on suspicion of receiving a bribe.
It became known that these individuals, acting in collusion, initiated a criminal case against citizen A.M.M. In this process, they used an intermediary — the legal representative K.A.T., demanding 30 thousand US dollars from the victim's son, M.U.M., in exchange for halting the criminal prosecution.
Later, M.U.M. transferred part of the amount, totaling 20 thousand US dollars, through K.A.T., who left the money at one of the exchange offices in Bishkek for further transfer to the employees of the First May District Department of Internal Affairs.
After conducting confrontations and other investigative actions, the deputy chief of the Department of Internal Affairs A.N.A. and the head of the Criminal Investigation Department A.I.A. were detained and placed in the detention center of the State Committee for National Security of the Kyrgyz Republic.
Currently, investigative activities are ongoing to identify other participants in the criminal scheme.
