Activists and Bloggers
Aibek UlanovOn May 26, a tragedy occurred in the Uzgen district: a woman was killed after meeting with her classmates, and her husband became a suspect.
On the same day, Aibek Ulanov published a post on social media that, according to the police, insulted the memory of the deceased (this was the opinion of society, including deputy Dastan Bakeshev).
On May 31, he was summoned to the police, where he apologized to the victim's relatives and was released.

Nevertheless, Ulanov continued to publish "information that provoked a negative reaction," which led to his repeated arrest. He spent five months in pre-trial detention, and on September 26, he was sentenced to a fine of 100,000 soms, after which he was released.
Janara Osmonalieva
On June 11, 2025, the III Bishkek Film Festival took place in Bishkek, attended by the famous blogger and actress Janara Osmonalieva. Her outfit sparked heated discussions in society.
After that, an old video began to circulate on social media, in which she used profanity, leading to her detention by the police.

The Lenin District Court found her guilty of "petty hooliganism" and sentenced her to three days in custody.
Incident at Sheraton
Alyna Zhakypova, known as Begemot Kyz, reported that she and her friend were beaten at the Sheraton hotel, blaming Voinov and his family for the incident. The incident occurred on June 30, but information about it only emerged on July 3. Soon, Jan Voinov and his brother-in-law were detained, and the public began demanding a boycott of the hotel. Human rights activists also called for holding the hotel administration accountable. Later, the court issued a ruling, and Alyna Zhakypova lost her driving rights for driving under the influence.
Nurlan Motuev
On July 8, police summoned Nurlan Motuev to the Sverdlovsk District Department of Internal Affairs for a conversation regarding his video on social media. However, showing aggression, he was arrested for five days for petty hooliganism.
Aibek Tenizbay
On December 12, activist Aibek Tenizbay was charged with inciting interethnic hatred. A criminal case was initiated by the GKNB, and he was sent to pre-trial detention; the investigation is ongoing.
Detentions after meetings with Tashiev
Mayor of TokmokOn June 24, Kamchybek Tashiev held a meeting in Tokmok, following which the mayor Maksat Nusuvaliev was dismissed, and a criminal case was opened for causing damage to the state. It is reported that the damage arose from work on the improvement of the park and the repair of the sports school amounting to over 61 million soms.
As a result, Nusuvaliev and his subordinates received prison sentences ranging from 12 to 13 years for corruption.
Mayor of Kara-Balta
After Tashiev inspected Kara-Balta, on June 30, Mayor Mirlan Djekshenov and several officials were detained. They are all suspected of corruption related to the purchase of 17 buses at inflated prices, which caused damage to the budget of over 17 million soms. Attempts to discredit the GKNB through bloggers were also identified. The court sent the head of the company and three bloggers to pre-trial detention.
Mass Detentions
On September 24, the GKNB conducted mass detentions of more than 20 officials suspected of corruption at the Challdovar - Avtodorozhny border. The investigation established that "pushers" were taking money for the passage of goods through fake documents, and officials were receiving rewards.
24 individuals were involved in the scheme, including tax service employees and border guards.
The detentions occurred right during a meeting with Tashiev, with 21 people being led out of the hall.
Accusations of Links to Organized Crime Groups
Kanat IsayevOn April 29, former speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh Kanat Isayev was declared wanted by a court decision in Bishkek.

He had previously been detained in a case regarding the financing of an organized crime group but was later released under house arrest.
He is now wanted in a new case.
Talas Begaliyev
In May 2025, Talas Begaliyev, a former police colonel, was detained by the GKNB along with other high-ranking officials accused of participating in an organized crime group and extortion.
On June 10, they were taken into custody; however, the measure for Asen Turogeldiyev was changed to a written undertaking not to leave.
The materials of the case have been sent to court, but Begaliyev remains in pre-trial detention.
Zholdoshbek Kolbaev
In early June, Zholdoshbek, the brother of Kamchy Kolbaev, was detained in Bishkek along with three other men.

They are involved in a case related to land plots. Zholdoshbek is in pre-trial detention.
It should be noted that he was the director of the regional academy of the International Judo Federation in Central Asia.
Kudret Taichbarov
Kudret Taichbarov, who planned to run for the Jogorku Kenesh, was denied registration due to his links to an organized crime group.

He claimed that the photo confirming his connection to the organized crime group was taken in a different context and later criticized the authorities. Taichbarov was detained and charged with creating an organized crime group.
Corruption Charges
Head of the Tax Service and His DeputyIn December of last year, Altynbek Abduvayev and Islambek Kydyrgychev were charged with corruption over excise stamps, causing damage to the state in the amount of 3.2 billion soms. They remain in custody, and the investigation is ongoing.

Aliyarbek Abzhaliev
On May 15, the court arrested the brother-in-law of former president Sooronbay Jeenbekov on charges of corruption. He is charged under the article "Corruption."

In March 2022, he had already been detained on charges of fraud but was later released.
The current status of the corruption case is unknown.
Kenzhebek Bokoev
On June 9, 2025, Kenzhebek Bokoev was detained on suspicion of corruption but was soon released under house arrest.
The investigation is ongoing.

J. A. J.
GKNB employees detained J. A. J., the former head of the capital construction department, in a case of embezzlement of budget funds. He is the father of the former Attorney General of Kyrgyzstan Otkurbek Jamshitov. Other officials were also detained.
The charges relate to the misuse of budget funds during the construction of facilities in the Osh region.
Vice Mayors of Bishkek
Mirlan AmanturovIn May, former vice mayor of Bishkek Mirlan Amanturov was detained on charges of fraud. He was soon released under a written undertaking not to leave.
Talibek Baigaziev
On June 27, vice mayor of Bishkek Talibek Baigaziev was detained on suspicion of extorting a bribe. His arrest occurred when he was returning $35,000 for lobbying the interests of a foreign company.
Jamalbek Yrsaliev
In mid-July, vice mayor Jamalbek Yrsaliev was detained on suspicion of illegally seizing municipal land. He paid damages, and the case was closed.
Detentions in Osh
Isakov JumadylOn May 27, former mayor Isakov Jumadyl was detained in Osh on suspicion of corruption.

He is accused of issuing illegal decrees, which led to the embezzlement of state property.
Other officials, including the former vice mayor, were also detained.
Aitmatmat Kadyrbaev
Former mayor Aitmatmat Kadyrbaev is accused of corruption and is in custody.
The investigation is ongoing.
MCN Coin Case
At the beginning of the year, videos about the cryptocurrency MCN Coin appeared on social media. On February 5, the GKNB detained several individuals, including the founder of the assets, who stated that the organizers do not intend to return money to citizens.Former head of the State Financial Oversight Yruslan Toychubekov was also detained but was later released. The case is in court.
Former Deputies of the Jogorku Kenesh
On July 31, former deputies Altynbek Junus uulu and Muratbek Malabaev were charged with extorting shares of a company.
Sources report that a criminal case has been initiated under the articles "Fraud" and "Raiding." However, Altynbek Junus uulu was released in August.
Okul bala Matraimov
In August, Munarbek Saipidinov, the okulu bala of the former deputy head of the customs service of the Kyrgyz Republic, was detained in Russia.
He believes that his arrest is connected to Rayimbek Matraimov and has sought assistance from the GKNB.
