In 2025, the YouTube Shorts format became an important tool for promoting and monetizing video content, attracting the attention of millions of users worldwide, including Kyrgyzstan. However, viewers are also interested in longer videos of various genres.

Kaktus.media presented a list of the 15 most viewed videos on our YouTube channel.

It is not surprising that short clips have become leaders, as YouTube actively promotes the Shorts format (videos up to 60 seconds).

Let's start from the 15th position and try to guess which video became the most popular.

15. Demolition of buildings on Aitmatov Avenue in Bishkek

Almost the entire country watched the demolition of fences and extensions by the Bishkek city hall on Aitmatov Avenue. A total of more than 20 structures were eliminated. This video gathered 204 thousand views.

A tragedy occurred on May 26, 2025, in the Uzgen district when a 38-year-old woman, A. E., died from her injuries. According to the police, she was killed by her husband during a family quarrel after a meeting with classmates.

The suspect, 40-year-old A. B., was arrested, and a criminal case was opened against him. Many Kyrgyzstani people reacted to this event, but there was also an inadequate response: a Bishkek resident, Aybek Ulanov, published a post that was perceived as offensive. He later publicly apologized, and his words were viewed almost 273 thousand times.

Foreign footage of an earthquake in Thailand that occurred in March 2025 attracted 332 thousand viewers. The earthquake caused the skyscraper to sway, and water from the pool spilled onto the street. People on the roof were horrified.

The most viewed video was the speech of the head of the State National Security Committee, who met with residents of the Nookat district in the Osh region. Tashiev reported on the elimination of criminal structures known as "thieves in law."

He noted that the work to restore order in the country had been ongoing for three years and that criminal elements had reached the highest echelons of power.
