On January 1, in Bishkek, the city's mayor, Aibek Junushaliev, officially launched a project for the construction of underground pedestrian crossings and bus stop complexes on Chyngyz Aitmatov Avenue. According to information provided by the mayor's office, the plan includes the construction of four underground pedestrian crossings along the section from Semetey Street to Masaliyev Street. One of these crossings is already operational at the intersection with Minzhylkyev Street. As part of the project implementation, 16 new bus stop complexes will be installed along the stretch from Akhunbaev Street to Semetey Street. Due to the commencement of construction works, the section of Aitmatov Avenue from Masaliyev Street to Semetey Street is temporarily closed to vehicular traffic. The mayor instructed all city services to ensure high standards of quality in the work performed and to strictly adhere to the established construction deadlines.
