During the investigation in the Osh region, investigators from the Internal Affairs Department of the Kara-Suu and Aravan districts were detained on suspicion of extortion. According to the committee's information, this detention was the result of operational activities aimed at combating corruption in law enforcement agencies. During the investigation, it was revealed that one of the investigators, police captain O.G.O., extorted 3,000 US dollars from citizen K.u.O., despite the fact that a decision had already been made to close the case regarding fraud in December 2024.
Investigator O.G.O. was assisted in this by his colleague, police captain S.N.S. from the Aravan district's Internal Affairs Department, who acted as an intermediary in this transaction.
As a result of joint actions with the Ministry of Internal Affairs' Internal Security Service, both investigators were detained while receiving 1,600 US dollars and placed in the pre-trial detention center of the State Committee for National Security in accordance with the requirements of Articles 96 and 97 of the Criminal Procedure Code.
