In the capital of Kyrgyzstan, Bishkek, the former head of correctional facility No. 27 was detained on charges of receiving a bribe.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, a complaint against the actions of the colony chief was filed by a citizen named K.Sh., who was born in 1969.
During the investigation, it was revealed that in December 2025, the detainee received 30 thousand US dollars for facilitating the conditional early release of a convict under Article 209 "Fraud".
The Investigative Committee under the Ministry of Internal Affairs initiated a criminal case under Article 342 "Receiving a Bribe" of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The suspect, T.M., born in 1984, was taken into custody and placed in the temporary detention center of the Bishkek City Department of Internal Affairs.
Necessary investigative actions are currently ongoing.
