Kyrgyz boxer Arvaz Akhmadi successfully competed in an international boxing tournament in Thailand, starting with a victory.

The World Boxing Futures Cup, which features athletes no older than 19, is taking place in Bangkok.

Akhmadi competes in the under 70 kg category, which has 40 participants registered.

In the 1/16 finals, the Kyrgyz athlete faced a representative from the Czech Republic. After three rounds of three minutes each, the judges unanimously awarded the victory to Akhmadi.

Now he advances to the 1/8 finals, where on March 12 he will fight against a boxer from Hungary.

Nursultan Duyshonaliev (under 55 kg) was unable to secure a victory in his first match against an athlete from Azerbaijan.

In the evening session, Eldiyar Tenisbekov (under 65 kg) will compete for a place in the quarterfinals.
