The Kyrgyzstan national team lost to Equatorial Guinea

The football team of Kyrgyzstan suffered a defeat against the national team of Equatorial Guinea.

This friendly match, which was the first for the new head coach Robert Prosinečki, a native of Croatia, took place on March 25 at the Mardan Stadium in Antalya, Turkey.

In the first half of the match, the Kyrgyz players looked more aggressive in attack, but were unable to capitalize on their opportunities. Arlen Beksulov failed to take a shot from a promising position, and Kairat Jyrgalbek uulu's attempt to strike at the near corner was successfully saved by the opposing goalkeeper.

In the 38th minute, defender Said Datsiev made a mistake, allowing an opponent to get past him in the penalty area and bringing him down. The referee awarded a penalty, which was successfully converted by the fouled player, opening the scoring in the match — 1:0.

In the second half, the Kyrgyz team continued to push for an attack, but unfortunately could not avoid defeat. In the 65th minute, captain Valery Kichin had a chance to score from close range, but his shot went over the goal.

As a result, the match ended with a score of 1:0 in favor of the African team.

On March 28, the Kyrgyz team will play another match in Turkey, this time against the team of Madagascar.
