According to the report, the main sources of tourists for Mongolia during this period were citizens of China, Russia, and South Korea.
Mongolia aims to develop year-round tourism to diversify its economy, which significantly relies on the mining sector.

In response to the growing interest in tourism, the Mongolian government has decided to extend the "Years to Visit Mongolia" program until 2028, aiming to attract 2 million foreign tourists as part of its initiative to support the tourism sector under the slogan Go Mongolia!
According to the Mongolian Tourism Organization, approximately 850,000 foreign tourists with passports visited the country in 2025.
