The launch of the spacecraft 'Orion', originally scheduled for March 2026, has been postponed due to technical malfunctions in the Space Launch System (SLS) rocket, which is designed to launch the spacecraft into Earth orbit.
According to NASA, engineers discovered issues with the helium supply to the interim cryogenic stage of the rocket on the night of February 21, which necessitated additional equipment checks. As a result, it was decided to return the rocket to the assembly shop to address the identified deficiencies.
According to NASA Administrator Jared Isaacman, the difficulties encountered may delay the launch window in March; however, an exact date for the new launch has not yet been established.
