- During the plenary session of the Jogorku Kenesh, held on February 11, 2026, Mahabat Mavlyanova voiced an initiative to shift from quantitative indicators to quality in product exports.

She emphasized the need to focus on the development of organic agriculture.

Additionally, the deputy made a request for the provision of preferential loans with low interest rates to support organic farming.

Mavlyanova also noted that the country requires the establishment of a laboratory for testing organic products.

She proposed allocating unused land plots for the development of organic farming using drip irrigation.

“Currently, farmers are using chemical fertilizers uncontrollably, which can lead to a deterioration of soil quality,” she added.

The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Agriculture Bakyt Torobaev responded that appropriate measures are already being taken.

He reported that there are 614 thousand hectares of unused agricultural land in the country that can be transferred to farmers for organic farming.

Also on the agenda was information from the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic regarding preparations for the spring fieldwork in 2026.
