She noted that Kyrgyzstan has been forced to purchase wheat for a long time, which hinders the production of domestic flour.
In response, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Agriculture Bakyt Torobaev reported on the arrival of a new wheat variety that is characterized by high yield.
According to Torobaev, the yield of the seeds also depends on the characteristics of the terrain.
He cited the example of the wheat variety "Victory 75," which showed a yield of 60 centners in the Ak-Suu district of the Issyk-Kul region, while in Talas the same variety yielded only 25 centners.
"In this regard, we recommend the Ak-Suu district to plant the wheat variety 'Victory 75,'" he noted.
During the meeting, information from the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic regarding the current state of preparations for spring fieldwork in 2026 was also discussed.
