In his opinion, the main reason for this is the lack of irrigation water.
In response, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Agriculture Bakyt Torobaev stated that work is being carried out to clean local reservoirs in the Panfilov district, and the ministry plans to construct a new reservoir in Kara-Balta.
He added that the ministry is actively working to improve the supply of irrigation water in the Chui region.
During the discussion, information from the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic regarding preparations for the spring fieldwork for 2026 was also considered.
