Gardener Ruslan Minbaev became a champion by replacing traditional irrigation with modern watering methods

Ruslan Minbaev, one of the most successful gardeners in Kyrgyzstan, shared his story about how he transformed his ordinary plantation into a model agricultural enterprise ahead of the significant forum "Agrodialog–2026." According to the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Kyrgyz Republic, his journey to the title of champion began in 2012. In 2016, the farmer took a bold step — he created a large blackcurrant plantation, becoming one of the first in this field in his region.

Having abandoned traditional irrigation methods, Minbaev implemented modern watering technologies. The drip irrigation system allowed him to achieve impressive results: on a 2-hectare plot, the farmer harvests about 28 tons of produce. For such achievements, Ruslan was awarded the title of champion at the "Agrodialog" forum in 2025. He emphasizes that behind the high indicators lie not only hard work and effort but also a desire to learn — thanks to the support of the Ministry of Agriculture, he was able to undergo an internship in China, where he studied smart farming methods and effective pest control.

His victory at the previous forum served as a powerful impetus for the development of his business. His farm received support from local authorities and began participating in the international program "Macford-2025," which opened new horizons. Ruslan Minbaev is confident that the "Agrodialog–2026" forum will become an important platform for many farmers ready to implement innovations and elevate the agricultural sector of Kyrgyzstan to a new level.
