According to information from the press service of JSC "National Electric Network of Kyrgyzstan", it is planned to install 390 thousand smart electricity meters for the citizens of the republic in 2026. This project is being implemented with the assistance of the World Bank.
The smart meters will be distributed across regions and Bishkek as follows:
- Bishkek – 91,210;
- Chui Region – 89,129;
- Osh Region – 68,242;
- Batken Region – 54,997;
- Jalal-Abad Region – 71,546.
Moreover, the implementation of this system contributes to more efficient management of electricity consumption, allowing consumers to use resources rationally.
