On February 3, during a radio broadcast, the president of the Kyrgyz Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, Danil Ibraev, reported that despite the overall growth in trade turnover within the Eurasian Economic Union, Kyrgyzstan has temporarily faced a decrease in the physical volumes of exports.

According to Ibraev, this is due to two key factors. Firstly, there has been a decline in the physical shipments of gold, despite rising global prices for this metal.

Secondly, the reduction in the volumes of textile products is attributed to barriers set by partner countries.

Nevertheless, the republic is at a new stage of its economic development: GDP growth rates have reached 11%, and the industrial sector has increased by more than 10%. Kyrgyzstan continues to export agricultural products, livestock, auto parts, and coal.

Ibraev also emphasized the issues at the borders, including complaints from Russia and Kazakhstan regarding the quality of goods and tax payments. He stressed: "We are in favor of civilized control. If there are questions regarding certificates, let a joint commission of the four countries work on it. However, inspections should not turn into artificial barriers for business. With a certificate and an electronic seal, goods should cross the border without hindrance. Delays in cargo contradict the principles of the EAEU."
