Kyrgyzstan is discussing the possibility of launching a payment gateway called BRICS Pay, as reported by the press service of the National Investment Agency under the President of the country.
According to information from the agency, a meeting was held with participants of the international project, during which the prospects for the development of cross-border payments for both businesses (B2B) and individuals (C2B) were discussed.
BRICS Pay is a decentralized digital platform designed to simplify financial transactions between the BRICS+ countries. The platform provides a fast, secure, and intermediary-free way to make payments in national currencies, creating new opportunities for the international financial infrastructure.

At the meeting, the business model and technological structure of the project, as well as its investment potential for Kyrgyzstan, were also discussed. The Deputy Head of the National Investment Agency, Meerimbek Koichumanov, expressed readiness to support this initiative, emphasizing its importance for increasing the investment attractiveness of the country.
According to experts, the launch of BRICS Pay could help reduce Kyrgyzstan's dependence on foreign payment systems, improve control over integration into the national financial infrastructure, and accelerate the development of digital services.
