A meeting was held at the National Investment Agency under the President of the Kyrgyz Republic with representatives of the international project BRICS Pay, where the possibility of implementing a new payment gateway was discussed. This information was published by the agency's press service.
During the meeting, participants considered the prospects for creating a modern infrastructure for cross-border payments, covering both retail (C2B) and corporate (B2B) payments.
The Deputy Head of the agency, Meerimbek Koichumanov, expressed readiness to support the implementation of the BRICS Pay project in Kyrgyzstan. He emphasized that the introduction of such a system could improve the investment attractiveness of the country.
In addition, project representatives presented the technological architecture and business model that will underpin the functioning of the system.
BRICS Pay is a decentralized digital payment platform created to simplify financial transactions between countries in the BRICS+ format. It ensures the security and continuity of payments in national currencies, facilitating quick and convenient financial operations.
The implementation of this project could reduce dependence on foreign centralized payment systems, strengthen control over integration with national payment infrastructure, and promote the development of modern digital financial services.
