An international competition Alanya Ultra Trail will take place in Turkey
This year, the Alanya Ultra Trail will take place on picturesque routes connecting the Mediterranean coast and the slopes of the Taurus Mountains. Since its inception in 2017, this competition has attracted over 700 athletes from 34 countries and has received recognition from the International Trail Running Association, including it among the significant international events in the world of trail running.

The motto of the 2026 event is "Tradition to Trail." The competition is organized with the support of the Turkey Tourism Promotion and Development Agency and the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Turkey.

The main distance of the Alanya Ultra Trail (AUT) will be 68 kilometers, and there are four other distances planned:

42 km - Taurus Mountain Trail (TMT)

27 km - Keykubat Mountain Run (KMR)

18 km - Cleopatra Short Trail (CST)

5 km - Alanya Castle Run (ACR)

The start of the main distance will take place at the famous Cleopatra Beach and the Damlataş Cave. Participants will be able to enjoy historical landmarks such as the Tophane district, the Red Tower (Kızıl Kule), the old shipyard, Alanya Fortress, and the covered market (Bedesten). After passing through the urban area, the route will head into the Taurus Mountains and finish back at Cleopatra Beach.

The organizers emphasize that the routes follow historical paths once used by the Turkish Yörüks—nomadic tribes that inhabited this region. The path runs from the peaks of the Taurus Mountains to the very coast.

Antalya, where Alanya is located, is one of the key tourist destinations in the country. Every year, the region welcomes millions of visitors thanks to its mild climate, magnificent beaches, and numerous historical attractions.

Alanya is famous for its 13th-century fortress built during the Seljuk era, as well as its historical shipyard and the Red Tower, which is now an ethnographic museum.

Tourists are also attracted by natural beauties such as the Incekum and Cleopatra beaches, the Sapadere Canyon, the Dim and Damlataş caves, as well as the Dim River and highlands.

In addition, the city offers diverse cuisine and an active nightlife with numerous bars, concerts, and entertainment events.
