Many people and "Instagrammable" locations
In the morning, the park sees a few tourists, but by lunchtime, there is a real influx. Almost all cabins, which can hold up to ten people, are filled to capacity. Among the guests, there are many foreigners, particularly tourists from China and France.Visitors note that the place is perfect for photography.
“It’s not crowded here, and it’s very beautiful. The nature is simply stunning! Taking photos is a real pleasure,” shares one of the visitors.
On weekdays, the park receives about a thousand people, but the administration is preparing for an influx of visitors in April, when up to 7,000 people are expected per day.
Prices for the ride
The cost of a single ride on the cable car is 600 soms.Most respondents consider this price reasonable.
“It’s just two cups of coffee. But the view from the top is something I’ve never seen,” says one of the visitors.
However, on social media, many consider 600 soms to be a bit high for one kilometer of travel and are calling for a reduction in fares.
It should be noted that the minimum expenses for one person will be around 900 soms, including bus fare (50 soms one way), entrance to the park (200 soms), and the cable car ticket. A taxi ride, of course, will be significantly more expensive.
Panoramas and new jobs
From the top, tourists can enjoy not only natural landscapes but also views of buildings under construction. Nearby, there are cottages available for rent at about 350 dollars per day. A large five-star hotel with a swimming pool is also under construction and will open as soon as the weather becomes stable and warm.Experienced travelers advise not to limit themselves to just the cable car and to plan an easy hiking route further into the mountains.
Deputy Director of the park Kubanychbek Zhekshenbekov reported that this is only the first phase of the project. The second stage involves extending the cable car by 12 kilometers from the entrance to the Ala-Archa hotel. An intermediate station with a restaurant and cabins for relaxation is planned to be built along this route.
Additionally, this summer, the park plans to open a rodelbahn, and active negotiations are underway for the construction of a glass bridge.
“With the development of infrastructure in the park, many new jobs have been created: the launch of the cable car has provided jobs for 20 people, and with the opening of the hotel, the number of employees will increase to 50,” he added.
