In 2026, old trees in Bishkek that have been affected by pests and irrigation issues will be replaced with new saplings, as announced by the city's mayor at a collegium meeting.

On February 12, the final meeting of the Bishkek city hall took place, dedicated to the socio-economic development of the city in 2025 and plans for 2026. The event was chaired by the head of the Cabinet of Ministers, Adylbek Kasymaliev.

During the meeting, a decision was announced to create modern irrigation systems that will ensure the full growth of new saplings. It is also planned to develop walking areas along the Bishkek-Chui Canal (БЧК) and the Ala-Archa River.
