The new heroes of our column "Zhubaılar" are Alla and Adilet Musabaev, who live in Karakol, located in the Issyk-Kul region.

Alla, previously known as Rudenko, was born in 1994 in the village of Issyk-Kul (formerly Mayak) in the Tyup district. She completed her studies at the Faculty of Tourism at the K. Tynystanov Institute of Humanities.

Now the family lives in Karakol.

“We met thanks to a mutual friend of Adilet,” Alla shared. Adilet, born in 1986 in the village of Sary-Tologoy, also grew up and studied in Karakol. At the time they met, he was working in Bishkek, while Alla was studying in Karakol. They started communicating over the phone, and soon Adilet joked that “bir kün alaкачып кетет” (“one day he will steal me as a bride”),” she added.

Alla and Adilet met in June 2015. In September of the same year, he introduced her to his mother, and then they met Alla's parents and got married in October.

“My parents took it calmly, although I remember my mom always saying that I probably wouldn’t marry a Russian. Most of my friends were Kyrgyz,” Alla clarified.

The wedding ceremony took place in one of the cafes in Karakol, where they entered the hall to the musical sounds of “zhar-zhar.”

“On the day of the wedding, I forgot my things (robe, etc.) at the beauty salon, and when I needed to serve tea to the guests, I didn’t have a robe. The salon opened at 10 AM, and I had to serve tea in a bathrobe. My mother-in-law told me: ‘Here are our neighbors, remember each one. If you meet them on the street, you need to bow (‘jügünüş kerek’). I was thinking about how to remember their faces,” recalls A. Musabaeva.

Alla shared a funny moment from her life:

“When my eldest daughter was little, she called me ‘apa’ and her father ‘ata’. One day, when we were riding in a minibus, I sat in the back, and my daughter was in the front. She lost sight of me and started calling loudly: ‘Apa, apa’. I responded, and everyone in the minibus looked at me. Since then, she calls me ‘mama’. In my husband’s family, they speak Russian, and I quickly got used to the traditions. I like their hospitality and respect for elders,” she noted.

In her free time, Alla enjoys cooking, especially baking, and she has a small online business.

The couple is raising three children: two girls and a boy. Their eldest daughter is 8 years old, the second daughter is 5 years old, and their son is 3 years old. In the future, they dream of building a big house and traveling a lot together, as well as growing old in love and mutual understanding,” concluded A. Musabaeva.
