The eldest son of Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov has become the deputy head of the republic's government.

Ramzan Kadyrov announced the appointment of his eldest son, Akhmat Kadyrov, as the acting Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Chechen Republic through his Telegram channel in his message.

In addition to Akhmat's appointment, Ramzan Kadyrov also approved Akhmed Dudayev as the acting Deputy Chairman of the Government, responsible for external relations and information policy.

The leader of Chechnya noted that both appointees have extensive management experience and a deep understanding of their fields, demonstrating responsibility and effectiveness in their roles as leaders.

It should be reminded that in May 2024, 20-year-old Akhmat Kadyrov took the position of Minister of Sports of Chechnya. Previously, he served as an advisor to the head of the republic and held the positions of Deputy Minister of Sports and Minister for Youth Affairs. Additionally, he is the president of the football club "Akhmat".

Furthermore, on November 5, 2023, another son of Ramzan Kadyrov, Adam, was appointed head of the security department of the President of Chechnya. In the spring of 2025, 17-year-old Adam also became the Secretary of the Security Council of Chechnya. Although there has been no official confirmation of this, the Security Council's website states that Adam Kadyrov has held this position since April 2025.
