On the air of "Birinchi Radio," Abdyzhaparkul Janbolotov, Deputy Director of the Department of Transport and Road Infrastructure of the capital, spoke about the reasons why the repair of the bridge over Jibek Jolu Avenue will only begin in the fall of 2025, at the intersection with Osmonkul and Torekula Aitmatov Streets.

According to him, the construction of three bridges is planned for 2025: on Shukurova, Auezova, and Jibek Jolu Streets.

“If we started work on all three bridges simultaneously, it could cause serious difficulties for residents and guests. We have already closed Kurmandzhan Datka Street from Jibek Jolu to Chui. An additional closure of the bridge on Jibek Jolu would lead to a transport collapse, so we decided to start the repair of this bridge in September,” he explained.

Janbolotov added that the concrete work is planned to be completed by December.

“At the moment, the concrete is gaining strength. Last week, we brought in lab technicians for testing, and unfortunately, the concrete has not yet reached the required strength. This prevents us from opening the street for traffic. Unlike asphalt, where defects can be corrected, the bridge must serve for a long time. If we open it in winter and the concrete shrinks, cracks will appear, and we will face criticism. So it’s better to wait a little. Next week we will start laying curbs, and we plan to begin asphalting at the end of February - beginning of March, weather permitting. Everything must comply with the technologies,” he added.

Earlier, MP Ulukbek Karybek uulu expressed dissatisfaction with the prolonged repair of the bridge on Jibek Jolu Avenue, pointing out that the section of the road has been closed since September 28, and nearly six months later, the work has not been completed. He noted that the prolonged work creates traffic jams and complicates the movement of residents.
