Kyrgyzstan has been recognized in the new ranking by The New York Times, which highlights the best tourist destinations in the world for 2026. This was reported by the Department of Tourism of the Kyrgyz Republic.
In this annual list, consisting of 52 inspiring places from around the world, including major cities, cultural centers, and natural attractions, the Tian Shan mountains of Kyrgyzstan have earned a worthy spot.
“This fact once again emphasizes the high international tourism potential of our country and the growing interest in its natural and cultural treasures. The Tian Shan mountain ranges, which are a symbol of Kyrgyzstan and one of the most impressive natural landscapes in Central Asia, have been highlighted by The New York Times as an attractive destination for travelers in 2026,” the publication emphasized.
The ranking compiled by The New York Times covers a wide range of destinations: from thematic trips through “Revolutionary America” in connection with the 250th anniversary of the USA to the dynamic cities of Warsaw and Bangkok, as well as the natural wonders of various regions, including Asia and Africa.
