The British newspaper The Guardian included Eldar Ryazanov's classic film "The Irony of Fate, or Enjoy Your Bath!" in its list of the best movies to watch during the New Year holidays. This work of art has been recognized as one of the best options for a cozy evening during the festivities.
Film critic Phil Hoad emphasized that this refers to the original 1976 version, not its American remake from 2022 titled "The Irony of Fate in Hollywood," which, in his opinion, "many already find hard to remember."

The article notes that "the path of true love is full of absurd twists, and the film's characters bring a Slavic melancholy to the plot, often picking up a guitar and performing the unforgettable songs of Mikael Tariverdiev."

In addition to "The Irony of Fate," The Guardian's list of best films also includes "The Apartment," "Sunset Boulevard," Stanley Kubrick's "The Shining," "The Poseidon Adventure," the "Lord of the Rings" trilogy, "Strange Days," "Radio Days," "A Celebration," "Phantom Thread," "When Harry Met Sally..." by Rob Reiner, and other well-known films.
