According to the investigation, the man responsible for the preservation of the collections had been removing items from the palace for a long time, mainly Sèvres porcelain, which is a valuable national heritage. The stolen items were attempted to be sold online by the group.

This crime was uncovered thanks to experts from the manufactory who noticed unique items appearing online. During searches, about 100 items were found with the detainees, including Sèvres porcelain, Baccarat crystal, and Lalique products, which were returned to the palace.

The accused face a sentence of up to 10 years in prison, and the court hearing is scheduled for February 26, 2026.
