Students of the 2nd and 4th grades received a UNESCO award for environmental projects

Two elementary school students from the "Diplomat" school in Balykchy have become recipients of the UNESCO international award — CIPP 2025 (Youth Innovation: Collaborating to Improve and Protect Our Planet), reported the parents of one of them.

In the competition, which involved over 30,000 participants from 40 countries, Kyrgyzstan was represented by Nuraly Tursunbekov (4th grade) and Auki Sabyrbekova (2nd grade). The official results were announced on February 1, 2026, during an international online ceremony.

Tursunbekov was awarded the Top Award for his project, while Sabyrbekova received the Award for Pioneering Sustainability for her innovative contribution to biodiversity conservation.
