As of December 30, JSC "Berekett Bank" has officially become part of the registry of participants in the deposit protection system, as reported by the Deposit Protection Agency of the Kyrgyz Republic.
According to the agency, the deposit protection system was created to ensure the safety of depositors of banks, microfinance organizations, and housing savings credit companies that have a license from the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic to accept deposits, by providing compensation in the amounts and procedures established by law.
The founders of "Berekett Bank," which recently opened in Kyrgyzstan, are Nurgoyoev Nurdoelet, the younger son of President Sadyr Japarov, and former Speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh Marat Sultanov. This information is confirmed by data from the Ministry of Justice of the Kyrgyz Republic. Jarkynbek Sagyndykov has been appointed as the head, who previously held key positions at OJSC "Bakay Bank" and was also the chairman of the board of OJSC "Commercial Bank 'Kyrgyzstan'" (now MBANK) and the bank "Bai-Tushum."
The license for the establishment of JSC "Berekett Bank" was issued by the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic on October 10, 2025. The official registration of the bank in the Ministry of Justice took place on October 20, 2025, and it will engage in commercial activities.
