A resident of Bishkek, known as A.A., reported a theft to the Sverdlovsk District Internal Affairs Department. The incident occurred on January 30, 2026, around 6:00 PM at the intersection of Chuy Avenue and Shopokov Street, where unknown individuals pulled a mobile phone of the brand "iPhone 17 Pro Max" from her pocket.
Based on this report, a criminal case was initiated under Article 205 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, concerning theft.
As a result of operational and investigative activities conducted by the staff of the Criminal Investigation Department of the Bishkek City Police, a suspect was identified and detained — A.B., who was found in the Talas region.
As law enforcement agencies discovered, the detainee had a prior criminal record and was registered with the capital's police as a person involved in pickpocketing. He is currently in the investigative service of the Sverdlovsk District Internal Affairs Department and has been placed in the temporary detention facility of the Bishkek City Police. His involvement in other similar crimes is also being investigated.
