On January 11, 2026, a woman named Ts.K. approached the Internal Affairs Department of the Issyk-Ata district requesting action against S.M., who, according to the statement, worked as a cashier-expert at the pawnshop "U.P." in the city of Kant. Ts.K. claims that S.M. was involved in processing fictitious loans, inflating their value and embezzling the funds.
According to preliminary data, from November 2024 to December 31, 2025, S.M. embezzled about 4,000,000 soms.
In connection with these circumstances, a criminal case was initiated under Article 210 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, concerning embezzlement and misappropriation of entrusted property, according to information provided by the Main Internal Affairs Department of the Chui region.
S.M., born in 1986, was detained on suspicion of committing this crime and placed in a temporary detention facility.
The investigation into this case is ongoing.
