In addition, the construction of a bypass road in Balykchy will begin soon. Bazaraliev also noted that this year it is planned to complete the construction of the Balykchy—Bokonbaev—Karakol road, some sections of which have already been built in previous years.
Among other planned works for 2026:
- completion of the 16 km road leading to the Jeti-Oguz resort;
- continuation of construction work at the Ala-Tuu Resort ski resort;
- beginning of construction of the remaining 30 km of the Balbay—Karakol road;
- development of infrastructure in Issyk-Kul and tourist facilities.
“Work continues on the 80 km section from Korumdu to Balbay Baatyr. In 2025, the first layer of asphalt was laid, and in 2026 it is planned to complete the second layer and arrange bike paths and sidewalks,” he added.
For the World Nomad Games, complete asphalting of the 34-kilometer road to the Kychyn pasture is planned, where about 7 km of asphalt was already laid in 2025 and parking areas were arranged, Bazaraliev noted.
Special attention is given to a new strategic project - the construction of the Barskon—Bedel road, work on which began in September 2025. Currently, the preparatory stages have been completed.
As part of this project, the construction of two tunnels is planned. Excavation was temporarily halted in winter due to the impossibility of conducting blasting work; however, work is expected to resume in the coming month.
In the Naryn region, the construction of the Naryn—Bayetov road continues. The total length of the route is 120 km, of which:
- 8 km run through the city;
- 112 km — outside its limits.
Of these, 20 km were built in 2025, and the remaining sections are planned to be completed in 2026. Two asphalt concrete plants owned by the road agency have already been built for this purpose, which will allow for full-scale work to be carried out.
