By the end of 2025, there were 162 renewable energy power plants operating in Kazakhstan.

- As of the end of 2025, there were 162 power plants operating on renewable energy sources in the country, according to data published by the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in their annual budget execution report.

This total count included facilities with a capacity of over 100 kilowatts. The total installed capacity of these stations reached 3537 MW, including:

– 67 wind power plants with a capacity of 1909 MW;

– 49 solar power plants with a capacity of 1313 MW;

– 43 hydroelectric power stations (excluding large ones) with a capacity of 314 MW;

– 3 biogas production facilities with a capacity of 1.77 MW.
