For comparison, in 2024, payouts amounted to 4.3 million soms and were received by only 48 vehicle owners, while in 2025, the number of settled insurance cases increased to 901 for a total amount of about 86.5 million soms.
According to Turumbekov, in 2024, the State Insurance Organization issued about 74,000 OSAGO policies, and in 2025, their number increased to more than 350,000. Since the beginning of 2026, about 18,000 policies have already been issued.
Turumbekov clarified that the OSAGO policy covers damages caused to third parties as a result of a traffic accident, but does not include compensation for damage to the insured's own vehicle.
To protect one's own vehicle, voluntary KASKO insurance is provided, the cost of which starts at approximately 2-2.5% of the market value of the car.
