A pilot project has been launched at the "Torugart" border crossing point, implementing an electronic queue system for freight vehicles. On March 10, 2026, the leadership of the State Customs Service became acquainted with the implementation of this project during a working trip to the Kyrgyz-Chinese border.

The electronic queue is designed to organize the movement of freight transport and reduce congestion, which previously often occurred near the crossing point. At certain times, the length of the queues reached up to 25 kilometers, significantly straining the road infrastructure and negatively impacting the environment around Lake Chatyr-Kul.

The system involves the preliminary registration of freight vehicles and the establishment of an order for their passage through the crossing point. Vehicles will wait in the "Kara-Bulak" zone, from where they will be sequentially directed to the crossing point according to the established electronic queue.

This project is being implemented in accordance with the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic No. 401 dated July 8, 2025, as well as within the framework of activities to implement the Customs Service Development Concept for 2026–2030.

During the working trip, the Deputy Chairman of the State Customs Service K. Mukashov also inspected the processes of modernizing the infrastructure of the "Torugart" crossing point. He checked the construction of the inspection and scanning complex (IDC), the reconstruction of administrative buildings, and the expansion of the territory of the point.

In addition, during the visit, a new waiting area for participants in foreign economic activity was opened. The created conditions are aimed at increasing comfort and organizing work for carriers, representatives of companies, and other members of the business community.
