According to the National Statistical Committee, in January 2026, nearly 590 thousand Uzbeks traveled abroad, which is a 6.9% increase compared to the same period last year.
Kyrgyzstan became the absolute leader, receiving over 232 thousand tourists from Uzbekistan.
In second and third places were Tajikistan and Kazakhstan, with 98.6 thousand and 88 thousand visitors, respectively. The convenience of logistics, the presence of family ties, and active cross-border trade contributed to the popularity of these destinations.
Among long-haul destinations, the largest number of citizens from Uzbekistan traveled to Saudi Arabia — over 62.6 thousand people in the first month of the year. Russia, Turkey, and the UAE continue to be among the preferred countries for travel. Rounding out the top ten most popular destinations are Thailand, China, and Egypt.
