In the capital, it is planned to cut down up to a thousand old trees - 'Bishkekzelenkhoz'
This year, it is planned to cut down at least 800 old trees in Bishkek, as reported by the chief agronomist of the municipal enterprise "Bishkekzelenkhoz," Zhanibek Jumaliev, on the air of Radio Sputnik Kyrgyzstan.

According to Jumaliev, it is expected that in 2026, between 800 and 1000 trees will be cut down, mainly poplars and elm trees.

He noted that the cutting will affect 50 streets in the city; however, the city hall plans to plant 17,000 new saplings. This year, 50,000 saplings will be purchased, which will be adapted to local climatic conditions in nurseries and planted in 2027,” he added.
