According to the investigation, in August 2024, information was received at the Internal Affairs Department of the Lenin District about the detention of a drug courier. An investigative-operational group was dispatched to the scene, which detained Kasym. He voluntarily handed over two heat shrink wraps to the police and indicated the locations where other stash spots were hidden. As a result, one heat shrink wrap was seized from each address, totaling 26.
- The Lenin District Court found him guilty under paragraphs 1 and 3 of part 2 of Article 282 "Illegal manufacture of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances, and their analogs for the purpose of sale by a group of individuals in a large amount" of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic. The court sentenced him to 8 years of imprisonment in a general regime correctional colony and also recommended that he undergo treatment for mephedrone addiction while serving his sentence.
- The judicial panel for criminal cases of the Bishkek City Court, having reviewed the case, upheld the verdict without changes.
After reviewing the case materials and hearing the arguments of the parties, the Supreme Court concluded that the decisions of the previous instances were lawful and justified. The lawyer's cassation appeal was rejected.
