In order to improve the quality of the urban environment, enhance sanitary conditions, and increase greenery, the Bishkek City Hall has announced a two-month campaign for landscaping. This information was provided by the press service of the city hall.
The period for implementing the activities is scheduled from March 14 to May 16, 2026. During this time, various actions aimed at improving the ecology and creating comfortable conditions for residents and visitors of the city will be carried out in the capital.
As part of the program, it is planned to conduct sanitary cleaning of streets, parks, and squares, as well as cleaning of courtyard areas. Additionally, work is planned for planting trees and shrubs, improving public spaces, and tidying up the adjacent territories of organizations and institutions.
Enterprises and institutions of all forms of ownership will participate in these activities.
The heads of administrative districts, together with municipal administrations, must organize and coordinate the work on greening, landscaping, and cleaning. They are required to establish cooperation with property owners, homeowners' associations, and the local population, as well as to involve public organizations and entrepreneurs. It is important to ensure timely removal of solid household waste and prevent the formation of unauthorized dumps by monitoring the sanitary condition of areas, including markets and mini-markets.
According to paragraph 168 of the Rules for Landscaping the City of Bishkek, approved by the resolution of the Bishkek City Council on August 29, 2025, No. 150, participation in sanitary and landscaping campaigns is mandatory for the heads and employees of all organizations, institutions, and citizens in the assigned and adjacent territories.
The city hall calls on all residents of the capital to actively participate in greening and landscaping as part of this two-month campaign.
