On February 24, the Mayor of Bishkek, Aibek Junushaliev, along with the heads of city services, conducted an inspection of several infrastructure facilities in the capital.
According to information from the mayor's office, the first site visited was the improvement of the area around the under-construction "Bishkek Arena" stadium. The city head instructed the responsible services to begin preparations for the reconstruction and construction of access roads, as well as the laying of engineering communications. It is important that the Lenin District Administration, the Department of Transport, and the municipal enterprises "Bishkekasfaltservice" and "Bishkekvodokanal" work synchronously.
The next item was a meeting of the mayor with residents of the Oktyabrsky district regarding the construction of a section of Akhunbaev Street, from Auezov Street to the Eastern Bypass Road. During the conversation, Aibek Junushaliev noted the dissatisfaction of local residents regarding changes made by the contracting organization to the project without coordination.
The mayor emphasized that such actions are unacceptable, and all projects must go through the established approval process and be communicated to the customer before work begins.
"It is necessary to strictly adhere to the principles of fairness and carry out work within the framework of the law," he added.
The city head proposed a solution that takes into account the interests of all parties: the contracting organization needs to prepare an updated road project in the shortest possible time in collaboration with the State Enterprise "Unnaa" and the Bishkek Department of Urban Planning and Architecture.
Additionally, the mayor held a meeting with residents of the Sverdlovsky district who live on Abdykadyrov, Kirpichnaya, Drevesnaya, Torfyana, and Suvorova streets. The citizens raised issues regarding water supply, the state of sewage, roads, and the construction of a playground. The mayor noted that this year the laying of water and sewage networks is planned, after which road works will be carried out.
"Work will be carried out according to norms and requirements. First communications, then roads," the city mayor noted.
The Bishkek Department of Urban Planning and Architecture has been instructed to develop a sketch for a playground with a workout area, fencing, and lighting.
A commission has also been tasked with comprehensively addressing issues related to the improvement of the area by the river. City services, together with the Ministry of Emergency Situations, must address safety issues, including the creation of a fire access road and the cleaning of the riverbed. The municipal enterprise "Bishkekzelenstroy" has been instructed to inspect green spaces, remove hazardous trees, and preserve healthy ones. The inspection must take measures against violators for illegal logging and improper waste disposal, while the land use control department must address illegal structures. The Department of Transport must explore the possibility of organizing an internal passage and constructing an embankment across the river.
Following the inspection, Aibek Junushaliev instructed city services to comprehensively address issues related to road construction, engineering communications, and area improvement, as well as ensure coordination and timeliness of work by the Sverdlovsky District Administration.
