In the near future, citizens of Kyrgyzstan currently in Bahrain and Kuwait will return home. This was stated by Seytek Jumakadyrov, the director of the Consular Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic.
He noted that the evacuation process is ongoing in accordance with the directive from the president aimed at bringing citizens back from the Middle Eastern countries. The return is expected to take place through Saudi Arabia.
According to Jumakadyrov, there are 82 citizens of Kyrgyzstan in Bahrain and 480 in Kuwait. Approximately 70 people are expected to return from Kuwait and about 40 from Bahrain, although the numbers may change depending on the decisions of the citizens themselves. Additionally, Kyrgyz citizens are also in Qatar, he added.
Earlier, as part of the evacuation efforts, 420 citizens of Kyrgyzstan were returned from the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia on three flights. These flights were carried out at the state's expense and were free for the evacuated citizens, noted Jumakadyrov.
